MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1838/7-Go PJ. Guanajuato Mint. NGC MS-65.
KM-374.8. An intriguing Gem Uncirculated piece that is exceptionally well preserved. There is clear evidence of clashing on both sides, and the reverse features a pitted area above the eagle's left wing which was likely caused by die rust. A remarkable lack of contact marks or other abrasions is refreshing to enjoy, and cool russet toning clings to the obverse legend. Bright and original, the present coin is listed as the sole finest in the NGC census.
Estimate: $100 - $200
