MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck on Silver Planchet -- 20 Pesos, "2019" (2021)-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-64.
KM-Unlisted (struck over KM-689). Centennial of Emilio Zapata Salazar's death commemorative (dated 2019, minted 2021) struck over the 180th Anniversary of the Federation, Yucatan commemorative 100 Pesos (2003). This double denomination was made when the punched-out silver center of a 2003 commemorative was restruck at some point in 2021. Ironically supposed to be made with a bimetallic flan, the silver center of the older bimetallic issue was large enough to fill the entire collar and has resulted in a uniform, boldly struck silver appearance. Only traces of the original design remain, and no date can be seen, but fortunately it is still identifiable as the one year Yucatan commemorative type.
