MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck on 5 Pesos Planchet -- 10 Pesos, 2018-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-68.
KM-616. With the bimetallic composition dramatically switched around, a copper-nickel ring encircles an aluminum-bronze center on this recently produced Mexican error. Nearly all detail is present, though some of the denticles and legend are creeping off the flan, and, if examined closely, the highest feather of the eagle can be seen in copper-nickel. This is an artifact of the erroneously smaller planchet. Graded premium Superb Gem, marks or signs of handling are close to nonexistent.
