MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck on Steel Planchet -- 2 Peso, 2019-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-66.
KM-604. Dazzling with flashy luster and pristine fields, this coin should be bimetallic, with an aluminum-bronze center and a stainless steel outer ring. However, either the planchet punching machine failed to remove the center, or the entire planchet is actually the stainless steel center of a 10 or 20 Pesos that somehow migrated into the 2 Pesos production process. It is hard to tell without an accurate weight measurement.
