MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck on Silver Planchet -- 2 Pesos, 2021-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-64.
KM-604 (struck over KM-561). A fantastical double denomination with the two coins dated 28 years separate. Little of the original design remains aside from the border of Hidalgo's bust, traces of the eagle's feathers, and, fortunately, a date which can just barely be read to the last digit. The cataloger stipulates the silver center was removed from a bimetallic 20 Nuevos Pesos and then brought back into the Mexico City Mint to be restruck with modern coin dies.
Estimate: $150 - $300
