Honeycutt-322; Basso-166. Diameter: 44mm; Weight: 28.55 gms. Thin planchet variety. Mintage: 1,500. Obverse: Busts of Laurel and Vargas facing one another; Reverse: Katipunan symbol, with inscription on all three sides. Edge: Plain. Exhibiting a deep red-brown color with a somewhat streaky appearance atop what are otherwise brilliant surfaces, these types appear to have been lacquered at, or just after, the time of their manufacture. Pleasing and increasingly popular.
