Honeycutt-322; Basso-166. Weight: 30 gms, by C. Zamora. Mintage: 1,500. Struck to commemorate the establishment of the Executive Council. Obverse: Busts of Laurel and Vargas facing each other, legend around, date below; Reverse: Katipunan symbol, inscription on each side of triangle. A well detailed Medal with some roughness in the fields due to thin partial encrustation, and mottled medium to dark brown patina.
The stars in the Katipunan symbol is said to represent the three major Philippine landmasses of Luzon, Visayas and Mindinao. While the 8-rayed sun represents liberty and the first eight provinces to rise up against the Spanish.
