R-179a note. Diameter: 29mm; Weight: 7.92 gms. By Mayer & Wilhelm in Stuttgart. Commemorating the Federal Shooting Competition at Bern from 12-17 June 1830. Obverse: ALLE NACH EINEM ZIELE EIDSG. FREYSCHIESSEN IN BERN V. 12 - 17 IUL. 1830, IMMER/BEREIT in two lines within oak wreath; Reverse: ALLE NACH EINEM ZIELE, six muskets, each with bayonet, stacked around fasces surmounted by Swiss flag; various shooting implements on ground around; mountains and tree in background. Edge: 950 SILBER M&W ST. Highly brilliant and prooflike, with some deep peripheral toning consisting of burgundy and cobalt; numerous hairlines are noted on each side.
