Obverse: Bear seated slightly right on tablet, holding coat-of-arms and Swiss flag; city view in background; EIDGENÖSSISCHES / SCHVTZENFEST IN / - ST. GALLEN - in three lines on tablet; Reverse: Man standing right, holding rifle set on ground and being crowned with wreath by female standing left on raised platform and holding another wreath; to lower right, cherub standing right holding target aloft; all within decorated and columned area; radiate Swiss cross in background. A fairly SCARCE, enticing, and attractive type, this piece features gunmetal gray surfaces with some areas of deeper toning.
