An incredibly imposing and interesting design, this piece of medallic art has the feel of seemingly bursting out to the viewer and possesses a great 3-D effect.

Born in the Electorate of Cologne, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) displayed an immense musical aptitude from a young age, and studied under Joseph Haydn upon moving to Vienna. A crucial figure between the Classical and Romantic periods, he had a colossal output of material before being robbed of his hearing ability later in life.
