SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos III 'the Great', 222-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.00 g, 12 h), uncertain western mint, perhaps in western Mesopotamia or in Asia Minor. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; in exergue, monogram. SC pl. 59, 1145 (this coin). Extremely rare. A few light marks, otherwise, very fine.
