SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Demetrios III Eukairos, 97/6-88/7 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 13.89 g, 12 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, perhaps 88/7. Diademed head of Demetrios III to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΔHMHTPIOY / ΘEOY - ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ / ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ Zeus seated left, holding Nike in his right hand and long scepter in his left; to outer left, N above A; below throne, monogram. SC pl. 54, 2445 (same obverse die). Very rare and nicely toned. Somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
