EARLY SKYTHIANS, Imitating Eukratides I of Baktria. Late 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.04 g, 1 h). Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I to right, wearing crested Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΡATIΔOY The Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm branch; to lower left, monogram. Cf. Bopearachchi 6BB and HGC 12, 131 (for prototype). A fine style early imitation, lightly toned. Good very fine.
