Galba, as Imperator. 3 April-2nd half of June 68. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.22 g, 5 h), uncertain mint in Spain. GALBA IMP Laureate head of Galba to right, globe at point of neck. Rev. HISPANIA Hispania standing front, head to left, holding grain ears and poppy in her right hand and Spanish round shield and two javelins in her left. BMC 172. Cohen 80. RIC 21. Beautifully toned and of lovely Spanish style. Light scratches on the reverse , otherwise, very fine.
