DYNASTS OF LYCIA. Mithrapata, circa 390-370 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 9.87 g, 2 h), uncertain mint (Zagaba or Phellos?). Facing scalp of a lion; below, small triskeles. Rev. 𐊎𐊆𐊉𐊕𐊀𐊓-𐊀-𐊗-𐊀 ('Mithrapata' in Lycian) Bare head of Mithrapata to left; in field to lower right, triskeles; all within shallow incuse square. Boston MFA Suppl. 225 (same dies). Mildenberg, Mithrapata 10 (O6/R7). Müseler VII, 72. Olçay & Mørkholm, Podalia 75-83 (A7/P7). Very well centered on a broad flan, and with a portrait of excellent style. Minor flan crack, otherwise, good extremely fine.
