Arcadius, with Honorius, 383-408. Weight of 3 Ounkia (Orichalcum, 47x48 mm, 159.29 g), a square commercial weight with plain edges. Γ - S Arcadius and Honorius standing facing underneath double arch supported by three columns, each nimbate and holding spear in his right hand and globe in his left; all details engraved, the faces, hands, legs, denomination mark and decorations on the columns inlaid in silver; the columns and arches inlaid in copper. Rev. Blank. Bendall -. CPAI -. MAH -. Pondera -. Apparently unpublished. A carefully produced and beautifully engraved weight. Three minor drilling holes on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
