Zog I gold "Independence Anniversary" 100 Franga Ari 1937-R MS62 NGC, Rome mint, KM21, Fr-11, Mont-18 (R). Mintage: 500. Struck for the 25th anniversary of Albanian independence. A classic Albanian rarity that always comes fiercely contested due to its already low mintage, and even more so when found at the cusp of Choice Mint State. For comparison, the Paramount specimen also graded at MS62, and brought $5040 in March.
