The recognized key issue of Pedro II's 20,000 Reis series, and one which stands well above its peers in terms of overall rarity and desirability. A moderate degree of circulation wear has left a brassy hue to the surfaces, with a slight degree of darkening noted to the higher features. There is only a single example currently recognized in Mint State by the grading services - a testament to the difficulty of locating finer examples of this date.
