Ferdinand I gold 20 Leva 1894-KB MS64 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM20, Fr-3. An extraordinarily high grade for an issue that is almost universally found in AU preservation or worse--indeed, we have never handled a Mint State-certified piece--with just one other at this level out of over 250 seen between NGC and PCGS to date. Even close inspection appears to confirm the assigned designation, a few minor wisps perhaps precluded gem status, though none are singularly distracting--this coming in stark contrast to the usual plethora of contact marks seen on so many examples. The nearest piece to which we can direct the prospective bidder is an MS61, which brought $3000 in January.
