Charles VI gold Ecu d'Or a la couronne ND (1380-1422) AU58 NGC, Saint-André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon mint (pellet beneath 20th letter), Fr-291, Dup-369B. 3.92gm. 3rd emission (from 11 September 1389). +KAROLVS: DЄI: GRACIA: FRAnCORVm: RЄX (double saltire stops), crowned arms of France / + XPC' ★ VIИCIT ★ XPC' ★ RЄGИAT ★ XPC' ★ IИPЄRAT, cross fleurée, a star in the center; all within a quadrilobe with lis at points and crowns in spandrels. A very handsome coin for the grade, the legends appearing especially carefully formed. Only the third example of this mint for the issue we have offered, and quite desirable on the whole.
