Oliver Cromwell Crown 1658/7 AU Details (Tooled) PCGS, KM393.2, S-3226, ESC-10. Dies by Thomas Simon. A visually appealing, cabinet-toned selection of this Cromwellian Crown type, exhibiting silver patina and peripheral midnight blue accents that contrast with soft, orange-gold undertones in the fields. The common die crack crossing the Lord Protector's bust is just beginning to form in this example, implying a strike in a mid-stage die state. While the grading service notes tooling, we find no egregious evidence thereof, with only some gentle hairlines seen in sections of the fields throughout, making this attractive example a compelling candidate.
