Ferdinand VI 8 Reales 1755 G-J AU50 NGC, Antigua mint, KM18, Elizondo-5, Cal-430, Yonaka-G8-55b (R2). Small J variety. Only the second year that milled 8 Reales were produced at the Antigua mint in Guatemala, and a strikingly high grade for the type, none yet exceeding the present example of this subvariety across either NGC or PCGS. Indeed, the Rudman specimen only ranked as an XF Details. Visually, despite light handling, the fields retain a distinctive glassiness towards the outer registers, where notes of orange and blue tone ignite to create a singular eye appeal.
