Cattaro. French Occupation Siege Cast Franc 1813 AU53 NGC, KM1, Pag-293. A fascinating representative and smallest denomination of this fleeting Napoleonic obsidional issue. While generally encountered in 5 and 10 Franc denominations, we have never had the privilege of handling the substantially smaller and equally crude single Franc issue. Clearly cast with an abundance of air bubbles and surface granularity, yet still displaying a subtle golden glow, we expect this piece to pique the interest of those with an interest in Napoleonic siege coinage.
