Elizabeth gold Ducat 1753-ФEBR 5 (Feb. 5) VF Details (Obverse Graffiti, Damaged) NGC, Red mint, KM-C31.1, Fr-111, Bit-40. 3.40gm. St. Andrew Reverse. An absolutely fascinating and intriguing gold issue encountered every few years at auction, most with fairly comparable appearances as the example at hand. Enveloped by a lovely, warm golden patina and light rippling across the smooth surfaces as is common to this somewhat crude issue, marred only by minimal graffiti witnessed to Elizabeth's bust and a small scuff across her head. Regardless, we expect spirited bidding when this crosses the block.
