Philip IV gold 2 Escudos 1622 MS63 NGC, Seville mint, KM82.1, Cal-Type 388. 6.71gm. Unknown assayer. A gleaming Choice Mint State representative of this highly collectible vintage, the "622" clearly visible to the reverse while the remaining detail lightly obscured by a soft strike. An issue where many specimens have been found in the famed Santa Margarita wreck, most of which have been of Cartagena origin, with a small handful originating from Seville. A worthy survivor that will inspire fervent bidding.
