Gaius (Caligula), with Agrippina Senior. AD 37-41. Fourrée Denarius (20mm, 2.99 g, 12h). Imitating Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Laureate head of Gaius (Caligula) right / Draped bust of Agrippina right. For prototype: cf. RIC I 14 (Rome mint); cf. Lyon 169; cf. RSC 2. Numerous breaks in surface plating revealing copper core, hard green deposits. Fine.
