THRACE, Maroneia. Mid-2nd - mid-1st centuries BC. Æ (15.5mm, 4.66 g, 11h). Wreathed head of young Dionysos right / Dionysos standing half-left, holding grapes and narthex stalks; monogram to inner left and right, MAPΩNITΩ-N downward from left. Cf. HGC 3, 1541 for type; otherwise unpublished in the standard references and Maroneia excavations. Dark green patina. Near VF. Extremely rare.
