Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, Vernon and Brown / Porto Bello, 1739, ex-Adams (Plate). AC-PBvb12T. 36 mm, 12.05 grams. AXF with traces of luster but some minor pitting and marks, even brown color, slightly warped and out-of-round edge with thin but faintly dentillated rims. XRF: 55.28% copper, 43.12% zinc. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), plated on page 125 of Medallic Portraits of Admiral Vernon (2010), by Adams and Chao.
