Ornate gold stud, 0.75 gram, ex-Atocha (1622). 0.75 gram, 1/2" x 1/4". Small S-shaped golden cartouche ornament used as a dress mount, which would have been sewn into the fabric of a dress of a well-dressed lady, this one without a pearl or emerald mounted on top but beautiful nonetheless for its design and craftsmanship.
