Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, Philip III, assayer T (ca. 1620), quadrants of cross transposed, ex-Panama hoard (ca. 1629), mounted cross-side out in heavy silver twisted wire bezel with 14K gold looped prongs and shackle bail. 38.96 grams total. Full and well-centered but lightly struck cross and shield, with traces of characteristic clay in crevices. From the ca.-1629 "Panama Hoard," with photo-certificate.
