Very choice full cross-lions-castles with clear bottom of 8 above it and tops of 750 date below it (a classic muling), full and well-centered pillars-and-waves with clear second date plus full mintmark and assayer, typically round and boldly struck with traces of encrustation in crevices, tied with others for second finest in NGC census behind a single MS 64. From the Luz (1752), pedigreed to the Fernandina collection (stated on label) and to the Ponterio auction of January 2001, with original lot-tag 912.
