Obv: A KAI MAP AVP CEV - A?E?AN?POC EV Bust laureate, draped, cuirassed r. Rx: Serapis wearing kalathos seated l., extending r. hand above Cerberus seated at his feet, holding scepter in l. hand, small Nike stands r. on back of his throne, palm branch in r. field, date L I in l. field. Rare denomination for Alexander, and very rare reverse type, of which five consultable specimens all apparently come from the same reverse die: three in Dattari/Savio, pl. 320, 605, pl. 321, 11606, and Supplement pl. 26, 9, the first of which was also in Naville 54, 2019, lot 338; Heritage 271933, 2019, lot 35075; and our example.
