Charpentier commemorating Pierre Larousse, 1817-1875. 71x70mm. He was the Founder, Lexicographer, Grammarian, encyclopedist of Larousse publishing co. which still exist today. The medal is fantastic with a very realist portrait of Larousse in his library/The Larousse logo. Pierre Larousse was the Noah Webster of France. The most widely used French-English Dictionary is the Larousse version.
