Early Anglo-Saxon period, Primary Sceat, Series B, c. 680-710. Well-preserved small hoard consisting of two coins and part of a third melted together, 2.59 g. One coin shows an obverse with a diademed head with small cross in front, Abramson 16-30, North 125. The other intact coin shows a reverse with bird on cross with annulets at the end of the horizontal arm, Abramson 16-40, North 125. A very rare and interesting small hoard.
