Magnificent patina and of exceptional quality. This medal marks the political will of Umberto I to establish the legitimacy of the Savoy dynasty to the throne of Italy. He chose for this occasion to take the title with the symbol of Umberto I of Italy and not that of Umberto IV of Savoy. By this gesture he wanted to consolidate the unity of the kingdom around his person and the house of Savoy. -
