Tetradrachm circa 411-340, AR 15.20 g. Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysus l. Rev. ΘΑΣΙΟΝ Heracles, wearing lion's skin headdress, kneeling r. and drawing bow; in r. field, thunderbolt. Very rare and in unusually fine condition for this very difficult issue. A portrait of
superb style struck in high relief and with a wonderful old cabinet tone.
Minor traces of double striking on reverse, otherwise extremely fine
