PONTUS. Neocaesarea. Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Triassarion (Bronze, 31 mm, 16.34 g, 12 h), dated year PMB = 142 = 205/6. Λ Π CEΠ - ΓETAC KAI Draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right, seen from behind. Rev. KOIN ΠONT NEOKAI MHTPO / ET PMB At the center, the Tyche of Neocaesarea seated to left, turreted and draped, holding a cornucopia with her left hand and extending her right; to the left, three Tychai standing right, and to the right, two Tychai standing left, all turreted and draped. BNF FG 410A (9-40-41) = RG 27. Çizmeli - (D6/R -, unlisted reverse die). Extremely rare, the best, by far, of the three known examples. With a splendid and noble portrait of Geta and a fascinating reverse type. Some surface roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.

The extraordinary reverse type on this coin appears to show the Tyche of Neocaesarea being honored by the Tychai of the other cities of the Koinon of Pontus.
