This historic coin commemorates the final battle in the civil war to avenge the assassination of Julius Caesar, declared by the Second Triumvirate (Mark Antony and Octavian) against the forces of Caesar's assassins Brutus and Cassius, in 42 B.C. at Philippi in Macedonia.
