PAMPHYLIA. Aspendus. Ca. 212/11-184/3 BC. AR tetradrachm (31mm, 14.77 gm, 12h). NGC VG 5/5 - 2/5. Posthumous issue in the name and types of Alexander III the Great of Macedon, dated uncertain year. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; AΣ above (date) in left field. HGC 3.1 910. Two and a half grams underweight - possibly a plated contemporary imitation.
