*Edward VII, halfcrown, 1905, from circulation but far less worn than usually seen, darkly toned; the reverse very fine with all letters of the Garter motto clear, obverse also very fine but curiously marred by several old scrapes and scratches, examined by the Royal Mint Museum and confirmed genuine, rare. Offered with a letter from the Royal Mint Museum, 2 November 2020, confirming the Museum's opinion that the coin is genuine.
