Corinthia, Corinth, silver drachm or third stater, (c.530 B.C.), (2.58 g), obv. Pegasos with curled wing trotting or flying to left, on exergual line, Q beneath, rev. quadripartite incuse square of windmill pattern, (cf.S.1862, Weber 3648 (p.3, Pl.I, 9), Traite 1153 (Pl.XXXVI, 4, in Collection de Luynes), cf.SNG Cop. 7 (Pl.1), cf.SNG Lockett 2023 [same reverse die], Collection Rhousopoulos [J.Hirsch XIII, 15.5.1905 lot 2206, p.133 Pl.XXVI, This Coin] = Collection Chandon de Briailles (E.Bourgey 17-19.6.1959 Paris, No.364], HGC 4, 1855 [This Coin, illustrated, [R]). Extremely fine, rough obverse surface and very rare.
