Mysia, Pergamon, Kingdom of Attalos I, (241-197 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.98 g), Pergamon mint, obv. laureate head of Philetairos to right, rev. Athena seated to left on throne resting left arm on shield, and crowning legend FILETAIROU , far left a bee, +A monogram before Athena, (S.7220, Westermark Group VIa [obv.CXI, rev.3], Naville Sale 4 [1924] [lot 1393 same obv. die] similar for Naville XV [1930] [lot 927]). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Ex David Worland June 16, 2003 from Spink UK Auction July 11-12, 2002 (lot 940 illustrated). Type known all from the one obverse die, Westermark notes three reverse dies for the four known examples.
