Samaria, (4th Century B.C.), silver obol, 9mm, (0.56 g), obv. forepart of horned animal right, within dotted square border, rev. crowned head of Bes facing, flanked by two wings; above, winged solar disc and cuneiform signs; all within dotted square border, (Meshorer and Qedar 157); together with (4th Century B.C.), silver quarter obol, 7mm, (0.20 g), obv. bull charging right, looking back, rev. lion seated facing, tail projecting out to left, (Meshorer and Qedar 136). Very fine, both very rare. (2)
