Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued 144, (7.28 g), obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, bare bust to right draped and cuirassed, rev. TR P COS III DES IIII, Victory alighting to right, wings spread, holding trophy with both hands, (cf.S.4022, cf.RIC 121a, cf.C.838, Calico 1638). Nearly extremely fine with traces of mint bloom.
