Alfred Lindsay Gordon Osbourne, steward, age 22, born Albury, NSW; Enl.06Jun1916 in 1Bn at Cootamundra; previous service two years in Senior Cadets; Emb.08Nov1916; WIA 16Apr1918 GSW right arm, at Armentieres in France; RTA 19Feb1919; Disch.18May1919 as Medically Unfit.

Frederick Charles Osbourne, leaseholder Mechanics Institute, age 27, born Albury, NSW; Enl.13Mar1941; promoted A/Cpl 05Nov1943; Cpl 01Dec1944; Disch.03Apr1946 ex AACS.

At the time of enlisting, Fred was the licensee of the theatre and billiard room at 530 Dean St, Albury. Fred was a champion snooker player winning many trophies and the Commercial Club in Albury for many years had a Fred Osbourne Memorial Tournament. The 1988 Fred Osbourne Memorial Classic Snooker Tournament was recognised as an official Bicentennial event.

Together with extensive research, photos and a programme book for the 1990 Fred Osbourne Memorial Invitation Snooker Classic 3rd to 5th August 1990.
