Kenneth Moore Bannerman, bus cleaner, age 20, born Sydney, NSW; Enl.27May1940; TOS 2/1 Medium Regt RAA 03Jun1940; sent to Darwin with 2/13 Fd Regt; Emb.01Sep1941 for Middle East with this unit; RTA Mar1942; Overseas service in camp in Palestine 21Sep1941 to 20Apr1942 but not in operational service, and Borneo 11Apr1945 to 24Jan1946; while serving in North Borneo he was part of Kuching Force; RTA and Disch.04Feb1046 as Pte ex 2/1 Aust Medium Regt; Kenneth Bannerman who was a traveller in spare parts for York Motors, Sydney died 08Aug1948 as result of a car accident at Geurie near Dubbo, NSW and was buried at Sutherland, Sydney, NSW With research including official pamphlet confirming his medal entitlement.
