The annual meeting of St Paul's Cricket Club was held at Rockhampton on 23 September 1914 in St Paul's School room and one of the gold medal recipients was H.S.Chase. He secured the highest batting and bowling average for the A team, namely 37.8 runs with the bat and 69 wickets at 5.13.runs apiece with the ball.
