Watch List notes:

Halfcrown 1840 ESC 673, Bull 2715 UNC with a sharp strike, a choice piece with grey and gold toning and original underlying lustre, the obverse with hints of gold and blue tone in the legend. The surfaces superb and original with barely a contact mark on either surface. An outstanding example which would enhance any high quality Halfcrown collection. Halfcrowns of 1839 and 1840 are the only dates with W.W on the truncation, and given the rarity of the 1839 coin, the 1840 coin is always sought after, and is almost never seen in choice grade
