Japan Fire Brigade merit badge for the Imperial Visit of Prince Nashimoto 1937. The design shows a pair of Phoenix flanking an Edo era Fireman's signal device (Matoi), struck to commemorate the Prince's Visit to the Hiroshima Fire Brigade (April 9, 1937) the legend on the reverse shows the date of the visit. Made by the Nagai Medal Company VF with pin on reverse, along with a further group of Japanese Fire Brigade Badges (5) includes merit and Long Service badges, mostly 1930s issues one with red enamelling, another with green enamelling, these in the wooden boxes of issue
