China People's Bank of China 5 Yuan 1956 Pick 872a S/M#C283-43 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. This yellow and deep purple 5 Yuan is the second variety for this design. Nevertheless, this is an always-popular note, and scarce in Gem Uncirculated grade. This larger sized note, although dated 1956, was not issued until 1962. It was replaced by a smaller sized type in 1969.
